We recommend woven fabric with a max weight of 8-10oz. Cottons, wools, mid weight linens or cottons and light weight denims or twills would all work well. A light fleece or wool would also be fun! Heavier fabrics give a more structured, boxy look, and make the neckline shape more bold instead of drapey. If choosing a heavier fabric, we highly recommend using a thinner fabric for the facing so the seams don’t get too bulky.
For softer drape: medium-weight linen, chambray, or cotton blends will create a more relaxed look with less defined shaping.
For statement texture: corduroy or jacquard can be used, but consider interfacing in stress areas.
Pockets: Try using a different fabric or different orientation for the pockets to make them stand out!
