BOXY. SLIGHTLY CROPPED. POCKET-OBSESSED. Your coziest sweatshirt transformed into reliable workwear… or is it the other way around?

The star of this top is the mock neckline with a boat-neck width. In drapey, soft fabric it’s effortlessly slouchy and lived-in. In slightly heavier fabric it holds its shape and becomes bold, architectural. Both are correct.

Then there are the ample pockets to take you through your day - a row of three front pockets (one with a flap) and a sleeve pocket give you plenty of room for color blocking, pattern mixing, or whatever you can think of - this is where you make it yours!

Instructions include steps for a sleeveless hack (see photos for example).

Pattern Difficulty: Confident Beginner

Sizes: Sizes: A-L (Bust 29 - 63 inches) (Waist 23 - 57 inches). Please refer to size charts and fabric requirements in photos.

What your purchase will include:

  • Full instructions in PDF form

  • A0 + US Letter printing files

  • Projector file

  • Full video tutorial

  • We recommend woven fabric with a max  weight of 8-10oz. Cottons, wools, mid weight linens or cottons and light weight denims or twills would all work well. A light fleece or wool would also be fun! Heavier fabrics give a more structured, boxy look, and make the neckline shape more bold instead of drapey. If choosing a heavier fabric, we highly recommend using a thinner fabric for the facing so the seams don’t get too bulky.

For softer drape: medium-weight linen, chambray, or cotton blends will create a more relaxed look with less defined shaping.

For statement texture: corduroy or jacquard can be used, but consider interfacing in stress areas.

Pockets: Try using a different fabric or different orientation for the pockets to make them stand out!
