Two women standing together, smiling, with one woman wearing a pink tank top and patterned pants, and the other wearing a green vest and striped pants, in a photography studio with a cream backdrop and red walls.

Wrongside Studios is two friends (plus 3 dogs, our muses and mascots) building a brand on contrasts: the masculine and the feminine, timeless shapes with modern twists, minimal lines with voluminous structure. Think daily staples with sly surprises.

We make indie patterns for makers who crave both wearability and that little something that sets them apart. We love structural silhouettes, approachable construction, pockets pockets pockets, and designs that feel fresh whether you’re brand new to sewing or a seasoned stitcher.

At our core, we believe in slowing down, making with intention, building community, and honoring the full story of what we wear from fiber to finish.

Welcome to Wrongside.

About Us

  • Just a (former) small-town girl who grew up in a place where creativity was instinctive - part survival, part self-expression. That built the foundation for my love of sewing, where I continue to discover the joy and liberation in making patterns for clothes that make me (and hopefully you!) feel empowered and fully myself. I truly believe that everyone deserves unique, interesting clothes that fit well, feel great, and are ethically made.

I spend a lot of my time exploring the gorgeous PNW with my husband and dog, and your email may find me either on a mountain or behind the sewing machine, blissfully unaware that my bobbin has just run out.

  • I love clothes. Looking at them. Touching them. Putting them on. So naturally when I picked up sewing as a hobby, my love grew.

Sewing opened up a gateway to better, more amazing clothes in exactly the fabrics I want, with the exact fit I want, with all the small finishing touches that make me fall in love with a garment. I was bound to be obsessed.

When I’m not moonlighting as a professional hobby obsessionist turned sewing business co-conspirator, I’m making ads as a creative director.

I’m currently rooted in Portland with my two beautiful boys but my mind’s constantly elsewhere, dwelling on traveling and trekking. I can be seen around town trying to make friends with every dog I see.

  • If Kevin were a human, he’d be the class clown, jock hothead who has a sensitive side. He’ll do anything food, neck scratches, or for a kiss from his ride or die, Flora. Loves to sit on feet, will lean against any person who will tolerate it, and will assault you with paws and kisses. You’ve been warned.

  • Loves: the constant hum of the sewing machine, rolling in grass, running around with her best friends, a cozy sweater, kissing Kevin, tearing apart spools of thread (mom’s fault for dropping them on the floor!), any treat that’s not fish, and staring wistfully out a window.

  • A sweet sweet boy, Louie was not meant to be a foster fail but here we are. He lives glued to Chen’s lap. Will do anything for the love of his big brother, a trip to the dog park, or a blanket to burrow under. Grade A cuddler. Hates men.
